Japan and Iran reach in finals of AFC Asian Futsal Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: Japan and Iran qualified for the finals of the AFC Asian Futsal Championship after defeating Uzbekistan and Thailand in the semi-finals respectively. Japan qualified for the final match after defeating Uzbekistan 2-1 at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Hall in Kuwait.

The Uzbek team took a lead in the first half through Hamgon Hamroyev’s goal in the 17th minute, Japanese team responded with two goals through Arthur Oliveira in the 23rd minute and Sora Kanazawa in the 30th minute

In the other match, Iran beat Thailand with five goals. Japan will face Iran in the finals on Saturday, while Uzbekistan will meet Thailand for the third place on the same day
