Woman wins post: The Administrative Court cancelled Ministry of Interior’s decision not to appoint a Kuwaiti woman as legal researcher in the General Investigations Department. The court instead obliged the ministry to appoint her to the position. In a legal lawsuit filed by the defense counsel Lawyer Ali Al-Ali on behalf of his client, explained that she obtained Bachelor’s degree in Law with a very good GPA of 87.97 in 2012/2013. When the General Investigations Department announced its need for staff for the position of legal researcher, she and many others applied for job. However, she was surprised by the decision to appoint others but her name was omitted even though she had excelled in all requirements. She had lodged a complaint in this regard but to no avail, which led her to file the lawsuit. Lawyer Al-Ali urged the court to cancel the decision of the General Investigations Department and to ensure her appointment in the applied position.
