Issuance of Article 17 passports suspended until after Eid Al-Fitr

KUWAIT CITY, May 6: The Citizenship and Passport Affairs General Department has suspended the issuance of Article 17 passports until after Eid Al-Fitr, except those traveling for treatment and study, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Speaking to the daily, a source from the department explained the decision was taken to pave way for periodical maintenance works and comprehensive revision of more than 50,000 passports issued to those under the illegal residents category.
