KUWAIT CITY, March 22: Minister of Public Works Hussam Al-Roumi affirmed the commitment of the ministry to implement Law No. 21/1964 concerning boycotting Israel, which means adherence to provisions of Kuwaiti Constitution, reports Aljarida daily.

This information was contained in a memo that the minister sent to the National Assembly. He explained that the decision is in line with the provisions of Islamic Sharia and human values, as well as Arab and international resolutions.

The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport has assured that it is not dealing with any individuals or agencies that are from Israel or are related to that country by nationality, proxy or interests. None of the 68 international companies that have prequalified for road projects is owned by an Israeli.

The minister stressed the ministry doesn’t have any contract with an Israeli company, adding that the ongoing tenders did not accommodate any Israeli company. He also emphasized that the ministry did not engage any Israeli company for consultancy works.
