KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The Court of Appeal has upheld the First Instance Court’s verdict which sentenced a Filipino lady to 10 years in prison with hard labor followed by deportation to her home country after serving her sentence.
The Public Prosecution accused the 33 year-old defendant of having links to banned organization “ISIS” when she entered the country as a domestic worker and remained in communication with the group ISIS in Libya.
The defendant was arrested by Kuwait’s intelligence officers after she was found running an electronic account under a fake name, which she used in communicating and spying for the terrorist group in Libya. Also, she is accused of coordinating to execute acts of terrorism in the country.
