KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: : A 40-year-old Kuwaiti working for an unidentified Ministry has been arrested and handed over to the State Security police because of his links to the DAESH or the so-called Islamic State, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the man is charged with urging youth to join DAESH and promoting terror via the social media networks. According to investigations the suspect is talented and was running the e-websites under fictitious names. The suspect was caught after police set a trap for him and during interrogation he said an unnamed company had hired him to incite young men o join the terror organization.

Money-launderer caught: Police have arrested a 40-year-old Kuwaiti for money laundering and manipulating bank accounts, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added the suspect was arrested after the authorities saw his account suddenly inflating. While checking the documents the officials came across several discrepancies in the bank documents. The man has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Smuggling bid foiled: Air customs men recently foiled an attempt by an unidentified company to import large quantities of camera-equipped wireless aircrafts, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources the contraband was hidden among a shipment — which arrived from China — of children’s toys. The customs men in coordination with the ministries of Interior and Commerce are studying the possibility of banning the entry of wireless aircraft without prior license or approval. A case has been registered against the company.

Drug-peddler held: Police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the suspect was using a new modus operandi by hiding the drugs pills in salmon tins. Acting on information police put the suspect under surveillance and caught him red-handed while selling 40 pills to a police agent. The man has been handed over to the Public Prosecution
