Iraqi man held with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: An Iraqi national born in 1980 was apprehended by Capital securitymen in Sulaibikhat area in possession of a cocktail of drugs and paraphernalia. A security source said the officers were on a round of the area when they stumbled on the suspect and recovered illicit substance, including Shabu and Chemical, during the precautionary search. He was referred to the concerned authority for necessary action. Meanwhile, an Arab expatriate evading a three-year imprisonment sentence for theft and breach of trust was arrested by security operatives in Shuwaikh area.

Drug peddlers held: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested three teenagers – two Lebanese and a Syrian – for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest came after several parents complained about the strange behavior of their children who were allegedly in the initial stages of drug abuse. Intensive police investigations led to the arrest one of the suspects.
