INJAZ Al Arab CEOs discuss and align their strategies – New initiative aims to achieve goal of impacting 1 million youth in MENA by 2022

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Talent Development Company (TDC) at Alghanim Industries, one of the largest private companies in the region, attended the INJAZ Al Arab CEO Retreat held last month in Amman, Jordan. The event was attended by the CEO of INJAZ Al-Arab, Akef Aqrabawi, and CEOs from 10 of the 14 member nations of INJAZ Al Arab. In this meeting, the CEOs discussed and aligned their strategies and next steps to achieve their goal of impacting 1 million youth in the MENA region by 2022.

Senior Manager — Talent Development Company, Evan Glassett, who volunteered to be the lead facilitator during the INJAZ Al Arab CEO retreat, said: “Our discussions focused on new initiatives to enrich the Arab youth such as, tapping into the elementary school age group, partnering with the Ministries of Education to make Junior Achievement Programs part of the curriculum, and other key initiatives that will positively lead to the shared vision of raising the next generation of youth in Kuwait and the Arab world. ”

In addition to the new key initiatives, the discussion also emphasized maintaining previous initiatives for strengthening and growing the brand, expanding geographically, sublicensing, impact assessments and the institutionalization of funding through multilateral donors.

Looking ahead, Rana Al Nibari, CEO of INJAZ-Kuwait, said: “INJAZ has continuously proven its ability to reach its short and long-term goals. Over the years, INJAZ-Kuwait has fostered and grown strong relationships with private sector partners. Their continues support and belief in our vision for youth empowerment will be essential in impacting 1 million youth by 2022.”

Alghanim Industries supports the effort of INJAZ-Kuwait to provide Kuwait’s youth with the skills they need to build successful careers in the future. For the past five years, Alghanim Industries employees have contributed the most volunteers relative to other companies supporting INJAZ-Kuwait.

The commitment to support INJAZ is part of Alghanim Industries’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on giving back to the community, supporting education and encouraging entrepreneurship. It is worth noting that the company was a strategic sponsor to the Tmkeen Youth Symposium this year, and has been a platinum sponsor of startup weekend — Kuwait for four consecutive years, in addition to being a platinum sponsor of “ArabNet Conference” and providing free event tickets to 100 university students in Kuwait.
