Indians held in death of Bangladeshi

KUWAIT CITY, May 31: Two Indians were arrested in connection with a Bangladeshi man who allegedly died after a tunnel collapsed on him in Abdullah Port.

Brother of the deceased man notified policemen in Abdullah Port area that an unknown person had called his brother’s wife in Bangladesh and told her about the death of her husband.

Based on the report, detectives conducted necessary investigation and arrested two Indians for questioning.

They confessed that the deceased man was crushed under the tunnel while he was under the influence of alcohol. They also said they abandoned him at the scene without filing any formal complaint with the police.

In the meantime, a group of rescue men was dispatched to the location to help retrieve the body. The two suspects have since been referred to the Public Prosecution.
