Indian domestic commits suicide

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: An Indian man committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his sponsor’s house in Sabah Al-Salem. His body was referred to Forensics. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior received a call from a citizen informing them that the domestic worker from India ended his own life. The officers are currently questioning a housemaid, the Indian’s colleague, to establish the actual circumstances that prompted the Indian to take his own life.

Power cut in jail: Police officers from Jahra Security Command were on alert after receiving information regarding the alleged total power failure in the Central Jail. The officers quickly surrounded the entire area in anticipation of any emergency, whereas the concerned bodies in the Ministry of Electricity were called to the scene and they restored electricity within a short period. Luckily, no untoward incident was reported during blackout. Investigations are ongoing to identify reasons behind the blackout
