Indian caught for trafficking drugs

KUWAIT CITY, July 22: Hawally securitymen arrested an Indian for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. Acting on information received from a citizen who called the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry stating that the Indian is hiding drugs in his house, securitymen raided the suspect’s house and this led to the discovery of an undisclosed quantity of drugs. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the concerned security department.

Liquor peddler held: An Asian expatriate was arrested by Hawalli patrolmen in possession of several bottles of local alcohol ready for sale. The suspect admitted supplying the contraband to customers in the area, and the officers referred him to the concerned authority, says Al- Seyassah. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen in his early 20s was arrested in Maidan Hawalli area for the possession of ‘Kapti’ and other narcotic pills. He was referred for further investigation. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man, a female compatriot and a non-Kuwaiti were arrested for consuming alcoholic drinks, reports Al-Rai daily. The three were arrested when securitymen noticed their unusual behavior while getting out of an apartment in an undisclosed area.
