Liquor bottles packed in bags ready for supply

KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Police have arrested three Indians for manufacturing alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the arrest came after police suspected a frightened looking pedestrian walking along a road in Salmiya with a bag in hand constantly looking to his right and left. Police then stopped the man and searched the bag.

In the bag they found bottles of locally-manufactured booze ready for sale and during initial interrogation he admitted to trading in alcohol and led police to his apartment. Police found in the apartment several barrels filled with raw material and scores of bottles filled with booze in addition to alcohol manufacturing equipment.

In another incident, police acting on a tip-off, and armed with a search and arrest warrant raided an apartment in Ishbiliya and arrested two Indians for manufacturing alcohol. The men have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control.
