Indian apprehended – Liquor seized

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: An Indian expatriate in his early 50s was apprehended for the possession of 89 bottles of alcohol (67 large bottles and 22 small bottles), reports Al-Seyassah daily. A security source said officers from Hawally Security Directorate on a round of the area spotted the suspect near an abandoned Mitsubishi car and approached him for checking, and when he tried to escape, the officers chased and arrested him. They went ahead to check the car and recovered the contraband. He was referred to concerned authorities for further investigation.

Wanted man held: A Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for his involvement in a financial fraud case was arrested in Mahboula area in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mahboula area when they stopped a vehicle based on suspicion and checked the details of the driver to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen who is involved in financial fraud case. They checked him to find drugs and drug paraphernalia on him. He was arrested and referred to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.
