Indian admits stealing cylinders

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: The Farwaniya police have arrested an Indian for stealing cooking gas cylinders from houses in Abdullah Al-Mubarak, and selling them for KD 1.5 each, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the Farwaniya police patrol suspected the Indian who was carrying cylinders in his car and followed him until he reached his home. When he was confronted about the source of the cylinders, he admitted to stealing them from homes.

Meanwhile, the Jahra police have arrested two young men — a Kuwaiti, and a bedoun — for committing armed robberies, reports Al-Anba daily. Police have seized from the two men sharp objects, including brass knuckles. At the time of arrest they were high on drugs. One of them who had been sentenced in absentia has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department
