KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Following the adoption of "distance learning" for the various educational stages in order to allow the education process to continue after being suspended for several months due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the demand for purchasing tools and devices necessary for e-learning process such as laptops, iPads and others has significantly increased, reports Al-Anba daily.

To study the reality of the prices and availability of these devices in the local market, a field tour to several electronics stores was conducted which revealed that the sellers are keen to sell such products, but are facing a challenge of procuring them from the factories or exporting companies due to the high demand for such products globally amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They indicated that the price of electronic devices that can be used in distance learning ranges between KD 120 and KD 135.

The sellers stressed that the price increase is slight and does not exceed KD 15, adding that the availability of such devices currently in the market is almost scarce.
