KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: The Violation Removal Department and the Cleaning Department of Ahmadi Municipality removed compartments built next to a temporary prefabricated prayer hall in Mahboula area, which were used for housing for workers and placing construction rubble, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Director of Ahmadi Municipality Saud Al-Dabbous revealed that the procedures will be completed by addressing the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to ensure the existence of necessary approvals and licenses for the land on which the temporary prayer hall was built in order to take the necessary measures.

He indicated that the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works has been assigned to clean the site of any waste.

According to a press statement issued by Ahmadi Municipality, the maintenance of temporary mosques does not fall under its jurisdiction. Instructions have been given to the specialized teams to impound any neglected vehicles in that location.

The concerned official of the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works has been summoned, and the necessary administrative and disciplinary sanctions are being taken in the event of proven negligence of the department’s inspectors.

The municipality stressed its keenness to deal with any complaint immediately, insisting that any citizen can report any violation and send it through the complaints receiving service or via the hotline No. 139.

It is reported that the municipality had received a complaint about a video clip circulating on some social media sites about the temporary mosque and the unlicensed prefabricated rooms used for housing, as well as the poor hygiene in the surrounding area.

In addition, Head of the emergency team of Farwaniya Municipality Ahmed Al-Shuraika announced the removal of five stadiums built on state property in Riggae area without a permit.
