KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti impostor for swindling dozens of Kuwaitis and residents, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect, who is believed to be in his 50s, is said to have sold real estate and apartments in Turkey, Egypt, and Lebanon on the strength of forged contracts.

A security source said the arrest came after police received complaints from several victims. Most of them said the suspect deceived them by showing fake photographs and plans and got them to sign contracts, took money in advance and disappeared.

The suspect was outside the country when complaints were filed against him. He was arrested upon arrival and whisked away for interrogation. The suspect was picked from a legal lineup by the victims.
