Hunt for missing boy continues on day five

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Khaled Al-Saleh yesterday afternoon visited the Fire and Maritime Rescue Department accompanied by the Chief of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD), Lieutenant General Khaled Rakan Al-Mekrad to know details about measures taken by the Maritime Rescue Teams to find the missing boy reports Al-Anba daily.

The child drowned last Saturday in front of the Kuwait Towers. He was with his father when their boat sank but rescuers managed to pull the father to safety but the 12-year-old boy was lost. Director of the Maritime Fire and Rescue Department, Colonel Badr Al-Kadam, gave a detailed explanation of the plan followed by the search teams in the boats of the General Fire Force in conjunction with the coast guard and the weapon Aviation to the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and the assistance shown by some citizens and residents in the search operations. After listening to the explanation, Al-Saleh praised the measures and efforts exerted by the search and rescue teams and gave instructions to continue the search operations until the victim is found.
