Hunt for ‘drifters’

KUWAIT CITY, May 5: A surprise campaign was launched in Abdali area against a group of reckless drivers after Public Security sector received information about their dangerous stunt performances in the area.

According to security sources, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al- Tarrah had formed several security teams to pursue reckless drivers in various governorates with the aim of ensuring road safety and security for all road users.

One of these teams had rushed to Abdali area after receiving information about the reckless drivers but the latter managed to escape after the officers arrived.

They managed to note the details of the vehicles using which they launched investigations to find and arrest the suspects. Securitymen set up security checkpoints on Kabad Road and checked the identification documents of the road users with the aim of tracking reckless drivers in desert areas
