Honeymoon turns sour; woman says ‘raped’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29:A honeymoon trip to Austria turned sour when a Kuwaiti citizen insulted and attacked his wife during an argument between them. According to security sources, a 1991-born Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Hawally Police Station against her husband, accusing him of beating and insulting her when an argument broke out between them during their honeymoon trip in Austria. A case was filed against the citizen and he will be summoned for investigations.

Woman says raped: A 29-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Adan Police Station accusing a 26-year-old compatriot of ‘raping’ her, reports Al-Anba daily. The complainant told police the suspect, who is known to her proposed to marry her, and lured her to his house to visit his sick mother. The victim said when she entered the house, she did not find anyone. The man then forced her to have sex with him.

Woman swindled: An unknown individual stole KD 1,700 from the bank account of a Kuwaiti woman in her 20s after he called her, claimed that he is an employee of a leading telecommunication company, informed her that she won KD 50,000 and took her account number and secret pin. According to security sources, the victim went to Rawda Police Station and told securitymen that an unknown individual cheated her and stole KD 1,700 from her bank account. A case was registered and investigations have been launched to find and arrest the unknown suspect.

Police station vandalized: A Kuwaiti citizen, who was arrested for fighting a group of youths in Fintas area, vandalized an office in the police station and broke a window. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a group of youths fighting in Fintas area, securitymen rushed to the location, controlled the two parties and arrested the main brawler. They took him to the police station and detained him in an office for questioning. However, he vandalized the office and broke a window. He sustained injuries in the process and was taken in an ambulance to the nearest hospital for treatment. A case was registered against him
