Kuwaiti star disappointed with media
KUWAIT CITY, July 17: Hind Al-Baloushi announced that she will return to TV drama with a bang since she has graduated from the Higher Institute of Artistic Criticism in Egypt with a master’s degree in artistic criticism, reports Al-Rai daily.
Speaking to the daily, Al-Baloushi affirmed that she is now free to pursue her artistic work like before, revealing that her focus in the recent past was on her studies due to which she had no time to get involved in TV drama works except for the “Routine” drama series.
She said that she is ready to return to the arts industry now that her studies are over and will prepare for the next Ramadan drama season.
Al-Baloushi stressed her keenness to select roles that are suitable for her, adding that she hopes she will find well-knit and strong scripted work.
Meanwhile, young Kuwaiti star Ali Kakooli expressed his disappointment concerning some media organizations that were not fair in their articles on his Ramadan drama series “El-Khafi A’azam”, reports Al-Anba daily.
He affirmed that he is happy with the success of the works and is grateful that the viewers treated the series fairly, but some treated it badly as if they have not seen or heard about it.
Kakooli lamented that some people dealt with the El-Khafi A’azam series “with two eyes — one seeing and the other not seeing”.
He said, “If a role comes and is written as the best but the viewers did not like it or connect with it, then I will just erase that from memory”.
He indicated that for him, the public comes first because artists want the works they are offered and wait for viewers’ feedback as the viewers give the final verdict, adding that if the public does not like it, then he also will not like it.
