KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Ministry of Health will activate the automated system for the registration of health insurance for expatriates, which allows the payment of the required fees through a special website, reports Al-Rai daily.

A health source told the daily the automated service will cover expatriates under the Articles 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23 and 24.

The source explained the residence permit departments will continue to receive the paper health insurance issued by the company until the first of next March and will work with the automated payment service after that time.

The sources pointed out the concerned government agencies on the issue of health insurance for expatriates, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Interior, the Manpower Public Authority and the Public Authority for Civil Information and others shall be linked, noting that “the service will be free without any additional fees.”
