Hajj department checks names of 2,000 registered Kuwaiti pilgrims, says official

KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Ministry of Awqaf Undersecretary Eng Fareed Emadi revealed the Hajj Department checked the names of 2,000 Kuwaiti pilgrims registered in the assisted Hajj program at a cost of KD 1,300 each pilgrim including all services, reports Al-Anba daily.

Speaking to the daily, Emadi said that after closing the door of registration for the program, the department checked all those registered and removed those found to be undeserving as per the conditions set by the ministry. He added the ministry and Higher Committee for Hajj have finalized all preparations for the Hajj season this year, in coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other concerned authorities.

On the Hajj caravans for Bedouns, Emadi said: “We are waiting for approval from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the allocation of hajj caravans which cost less than KD 1,300 for each pilgrim.”
