KUWAIT CITY, July 19: Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud Al-Malek Al-Sabah said those who inquire about the job of the governor considering that position as ceremonial do not follow up the achievements of governors.
He urged them to look into the achievements and tasks of governors, especially after enforcing law number 81/2014 which defines the functions of a governor. He explained there is no contradiction between the job of the executive power and that of governors, as the ministers and governors usually cooperate to serve the interests of citizens. He pointed out that governors are bridges between the citizens and the government.
