Ghosoon Al-Khaled named in WEF annual list of YGLs

KUWAIT CITY, May 22: In its annual list, The World Economic Forum named ACICO Industries Group COO, Eng Ghosoon Al-Khaled to be the only Kuwaiti personality to be selected in the field of art, business, entrepreneurship, technology leaders, thinkers and decision makers who are under the age of forty.

Among current and former YGLs are heads of government and Fortune 500 companies, winners of Nobel and Oscar Awards, Goodwill Ambassadors of the UN and pioneers of social work. They have been invited to join a community for a five-year leadership journey that aims, to tackle the world’s most complex and pressing challenges. These young leaders will be part of a community working to find a cure for spinal paralysis, the addressing of water scarcity, the creation of  a global emergency response network and promote waste-free circular economies.

Meanwhile, Al-Khaled has been selected for her professional achievements and her commitment towards the Kuwaiti society. This in turn will contribute to building the future for other young leaders. The WEF further believes that the young leaders can break down silos, bridge cultures and use their collective skills to get things done, that will have a positive impact across private, public and civil society organizations.

In turn, Eng Ghosoon Al-Khaled expressed her happiness and pride for this honor, which confirms that the Kuwaiti woman has managed to reach the world and gain the confidence of decision-makers worldwide.

She said: Kuwaiti women are able to play a leading role in all institutions and sectors, enabling them to be placed first in categories and lists of major magazines and related bodies”.

Al-Khaled also said: It is a privilege for all Kuwaitis ladies to be selected for these specialized international lists. These lists show those women are able to succeed substantially within the community of business and finance”.

She emphasized that Kuwaiti woman are also able to play a significant role in building the future of the State of Kuwait, as she has sufficient administrative and scientific capabilities and  expertise to be a pioneer among the women of the Arab Gulf and globally.

Al-Khaled stressed the importance of hard work and meticulous implementation thereof, with regard to respect and time without prejudice to her family responsibilities.
