German passenger to get comp in loss of baggage

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The Commercial Department of the Court of Appeals recently ruled in favor of a German passenger and ordered an unidentified airline to compensate the man for the loss of his baggage, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the passenger arrived at the Kuwait International Airport and discovered one of his bags was missing. After making several visits to the airline office and finding no solution to the issue he decided to file a lawsuit against the airline.

Lawyer for the plaintiff Abdul Rahman Al- Enezi asked the carrier to compensate his client and pay him KD 5,001 temporary civil compensation for the material and moral damages he suffered as a result of negligence on the part of the airline in accordance with the general rules and taking into account the provisions of the Warsaw Convention and the Montreal International Convention.
