GCC citizen held for attempting to smuggle big quantity of drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: A GCC national was arrested for attempting to smuggle huge quantities of drugs into the country via Abdali border checkpoint.

Abdali Customs Supervisor Mohammad Al-Humaidhi explained that one of the customs inspectors at the border checkpoint suspected a bus especially after the driver of GCC nationality appeared nervous.

Passengers of the bus were requested to step out, and the bus was checked using advanced checking equipment present in Abdali border checkpoint.

Two gas cylinders were discovered in the bus which contained close to four kilograms of methamphetamine and 90,000 Captagon pills. Necessary action was taken, and a record of the discovery was made.

The GCC driver was arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities. Al-Humaidhi appreciated Abdali customs officers for their diligence and efforts in inspecting all vehicles and individuals arriving or leaving the country
