Injuries as two groups fight over dispute

KUWAIT CITY, June 28: The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Saoud Al-Sane’a sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to death by hanging after he was convicted of stabbing his neighbor to death.

The incident dates back to October last year when the 28-year old citizen stabbed his neighbor in the heart with the intention of killing him. The incident happened in front of the victim’s house in Firdous area during a dispute between them.

When the Operations Room had received a report about the incident, securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they found the 36-year old victim lying in a pool of blood. They examined him and discovered that he had died due to a deep stab in the heart. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department.

The murderer had surrendered himself to Farwaniya Rescue Department and handed over the knife that he had used in the murder. He confessed to killing his neighbor during a dispute between them.

Two groups fight: A quarrel broke out between two Kuwaiti citizens and three Syrian expatriates, resulting in injuries to a Kuwaiti citizen and a Syrian national.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a passerby about a quarrel behind a commercial complex, securitymen rushed to the location to discover some passersby had settled the quarrel and took the injured parties to a hospital in a private vehicle.

The rest of the brawlers were arrested and referred to the police station of the area.

Investigations revealed that one of the expatriates works in a company owned by a Kuwaiti citizen. An argument between them had escalated to an exchange of blows.

Securitymen took necessary action.

Meanwhile, a 21-year old Kuwaiti citizen filed a case at Jahra Police Station and submitted a medical report, revealing that two citizens who live near his house had attacked him.

Securitymen summoned the two accused citizens and referred them to the concerned authorities for further investigation.

Immoral behavior: The owner and employees of an unidentified café have been summoned for interrogation and 17 young men including cross-dressers have been arrested and referred to the concerned authority for immoral behavior and causing public disturbance, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, police acting on information raided the café and arrested the suspects who were caught red-handed dancing to the tune of loud music.

The staff and owner of the café have been summoned for permitting the youths to party.

Drug pills seized: A 26-year old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested near Love Street in possession of 40 narcotic pills and drug paraphernalia.

According to security sources, Capital securitymen were patrolling Love Street when they noticed a pickup vehicle being driven recklessly. They ordered the driver to pull over and checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen born in 1992.

Sensing his disoriented state, securitymen checked him to find 40 narcotic pills and drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested and referred with the confiscated narcotic pills to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.
