FSIS win ISACK U-19 volleyball champ’ship – White Tigers blank KES 2-0

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: The Fawzia Sultan International School (FSIS) Friday made its first championship win in the ISCAK under 19 volleyball game. The FSIS White Tigers played against a strong squad from Kuwait English School, in a strongly contested match, winning the game for 2-0.

The finals match was played on home turf in the presence of many teachers and students from FSIS. It was an exciting match for the spectators as the score went back and forth between the two equally strong teams. In the first set, KES had the lead, but the White Tigers were not in a mood to give up and won the first set by a 3 point lead.

The FSIS White Tigers started the second set on a high and had total control over the game for the first part of the set. But team KES made a great come-back from being down by 9 points to equalizing the score 18 all.

However, team FSIS rallied together with vice-captain Mohammed making some very strong back raw attacks that helped the team gain the momentum back.

FSIS won the set 25-23 and the Championship, making the White Tigers the ISACK Volleyball Champions for the year 2015-2016. FSIS Coach of 9 years, Mr. Joseph Chacko, couldn’t have been prouder of his team when he said, “It was a well-deserved win and great team work by the white tigers!”

Other White Tigers players who really impressed the crowd were Ahmad (captain) Haidar (libero) Homoud, Yousef and Ahmed, who were the core players on the team. It was a great day for the White Tigers, Coach Mr. Joseph and Fawzia Sultan International School.
