KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Under the directive of Ahmadi Security Commander Brigadier Abdullah Al-Saffa, security operatives discovered a liquor factory in Mahboula area. A security source said the officers confiscated 54 barrels of alcohol, in addition to three boxes of yeast, six bags of sugar, three distilling barrels, evaporation barrel and dispenser. All items have since been referred to the General Drugs Control Department (GDCD).

4 sex workers held: Four Asian sex workers were arrested from a brothel in Farwaniya area, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, when Farwaniya securitymen obtained information about the brothel, they investigated and obtained a warrant from the Public Prosecution after which they raided the apartment and arrested four Asian women. They were referred to the concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation. Securitymen have launched investigations to find their Asian pimp who was not in the vice den at the time of the raid.

8 held for gambling: Three expatriates — a Bangladeshi, a Pakistani and an Indian — were arrested for gambling inside a grocery shop in Fahaheel area, reports Al-Anba daily. Fahaheel police referred them to the concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation. Meanwhile, Farwaniya police arrested five expatriates for gambling on an open ground in an area within Farwaniya Governorate, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

‘Rhino’ held for attacking 4: A wellbuilt man, who is known as ‘Rhino’ was arrested for breaking into a restaurant in Sulaibiya area and assaulting four individuals, reports Al-Shahed daily. Following the incident, the four individuals lodged a complaint against ‘Rhino’ and presented medical reports to indicate the injuries they sustained from the attack. After securitymen arrested ‘Rhino’, they questioned him and he revealed that he received a phone call from his brother who informed him that he was assaulted by the four individuals. He then went to the restaurant to confront his brother’s attackers. He and the other individuals were detained at the police station for necessary legal action.
