KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: The Kuwaiti embassy in Jordan recently stated it’s following up information about a Jordanian university employee suspected of forging certificate for a Kuwait University student who was arrested by the Jordanian security agency.

The employee works at the university’s Admission and Registration Unit, while the student is pursuing an international correspondent program, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Ambassador Aziz Al-Dehani told Al-Qabas that government agencies in Kuwait do not condone any false academic certificate and always scrutinize and follow up related issues to take legal action against the perpetrators.

In the same context, acting Minister of Higher Education Bassam Talhouni said the incident will be dealt with accordingly, affirming the Jordanian security agency started investigating the issue in line with the rule of law immediately after receiving report about the incident; stressing, no person will be allowed to transform Jordan’s higher education sector to a trade hub. He reiterated the incident is unprecedented, given that no similar cases have ever been recorded. He reaffirmed satisfaction in the Kuwaiti students whom he described as ‘the best ambassadors of their country in Jordan
