Fishermen find 51 large packs of hashish in fishing net

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: A Kuwaiti citizen and an Asian expatriate were fishing near Kubbar Island when they found 51 large packs of hashish in their fishing net. According to security sources, when the Operations Room received information from the citizen about finding hashish while he was fishing near Kubbar Island, securitymen rushed to the location and confiscated the hashish packs, which are worth thousands of dinar. Initial investigations indicate that the smuggler probably got rid of the hashish when he was discovered by securitymen. The hashish packs were referred to the concerned authorities for investigations.

Landmine found : A citizen is said to have stumbled upon a strange object in the barren region off Salmi Road and notified the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry. Acting on information, experts accompanied security operatives to the location and discovered landmine believed to be remnants from the Iraqi invasion, reports Al-Shahed daily.
