Filipino robbed, raped; Fake cop robs expats

KUWAIT CITY, April 1: Police have arrested a 28-year-old Kuwaiti for kidnapping a Filipino, stealing his money and Ipad and raping him, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the daily, the suspect lured a mentally-ill 23-yearold compatriot to kidnap the Filipino pedestrian in Salmiya and drove him to a desert in Abdullah Al-Mubarak and stole KD 30 from his wallet, his Ipad. The man then raped him and drove off. The arrest came after the Filipino provided police the suspects’ car plate number

Fake cop robs expats: Police have arrested a Syrian for impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the arrest came after a 57-year-old Indian laundryman told police the Syrian claimed he was a detective and ordered him to get into his car. He then drove him to an isolated spot, took KD 360 from his wallet and flung the wallet out of the car and kicked the man out of the car a little further. Intensive investigations conducted by securitymen led to the arrest of the Syrian.
