FBC 69th Badminton Tourney concludes – Players showcase intensified performances

KUWAIT CITY, May 7: The Filipino Badminton Committee in Kuwait (FBC) concluded its 69th Badminton Tournament on Friday at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club in Hawally with veteran and amateur badminton players participating in the event.

All players displayed their best form as they battled it out with the best players.  The veteran smashers from Levels A&B, the equally aggressive players from Level C and the new and upcoming badminton players of Level D showcased intensified performances aiming to bag the championship cup.

Here’s the list of winners in the 69th badminton tournament:

Level A&B Doubles:  Champion — Raymond Dela Cruz, Jelsey Carandang; 1st Runner Up: Jonathan Del Fina, Joemar Pelimiano.

Level C: Champion — Louie Ladaga, Miller Cachapero; 1st Runner Up — John Lee, Jullie Ann Armamento; 2nd Runner up — Annie Zaballero, Vanissa Hare.

Level D: Champion — Roger Gonzales, Alma Ibno; 1st Runner Up — Bing Cielo, Eunichy Santos; 2nd Runner up — Adelbert Mendiola, Belle Ampang.

Meanwhile, FBC President Jimmy Carandang is inviting all badminton enthusiasts to register and join in the 70th regular tournament on May 13, 20 and 27, 2016 (am/pm).  He added that adults/kids badminton coaching/tutorial and court rental will be available from 1 pm to 5 pm.  For inquiries please call FBC hotline 66420529 or visit the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, Bin Khaldoun in Hawally on Friday.
