KUWAIT CITY, March 12: The Filipino Badminton Association of Ahmadi (FBAA) bagged the overall championship in the 5th “Inter Club Friendship One-day Tourney” dubbed “ 4 Feathers Cup” on Friday that was hosted by the Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC)  at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club in Hawally.

The Four Feathers Cup is held every three months by four premier badminton clubs in Kuwait namely the Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC), Hapi Pipol, Filipino Badminton Club in Kuwait ( FILBACK) and Filipino Badminton Association of Ahmadi (FBAA).

The badminton tournament inspired by the feather, that makes a shuttlecock aerodynamically stable aims at promoting friendship through badminton across Kuwait and the Middle East.

Bagging the championship cup in the Advanced Category were Joms Tantiangco and Sherwin Felizardo of FBAA and trailing behind them were Kishore Kumar and Philip Tomale of FBC. FBAA also dominated in the Novice 1 with powerful duo Johnny Padernal and Jumar Menes topping the rest of the contenders.

FBC would like to thank the FBC Execom and Committees of FBAA, FILBACK and HAPI PIPOL for their support in ensuring the success of the event.

“The 4 Feathers committee will continue to strive for better badminton community as we loudly say “Play Badminton and Win Friends,” stated FBC President Jimmy Carandang.
