KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: With Kuwait entering into a fifth phase plan for return to normalcy, the Ministry of Interior and Public Authority of Manpower announced the issuing of all types of visas to Kuwait for vaccinated expats which are approved by Kuwait in accordance with rules set by the health authorities.


The new conditions for issuing family, tourist, commercial and government visas are as follows, reports Al Rai. The decision states that the visas will be issued to immunized persons who have received any one of the approved vaccines which are:

• Pfizer Piontech Vaccine “two doses”
• AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine “two doses”
• Moderna vaccine “two doses”
• Johnson & Johnson vaccine “single dose”

A certificate confirming receipt of approved vaccines must be submitted, the certificate must contain QR code which will be verified by different departments before issuing a visa.


Family Visa
It is allowed to issue visas for  wife and children under the age of 16 who will be granted a visa for visit or dependent visa. Salary conditions apply (KD 500) must be mentioned on work permit.

Commercial visit visa
It is allowed to issue commercial visits for all activities at the discretion of the director of the department.

Government visit visa:

It is allowed to issue government visits to all ministries and government agencies.

Electronic visas:

It is allowed to issue electronic visas for the following :

• Kuwaiti embassies abroad

• Nationals of 53 countries according to the approved list

• Residents of the GCC countries who hold certain professions

• Hotels and companies registered in the automated system in accordance with the procedures in force in the Special Services Department.
