Fake police rob Egyptian

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Personnel from the Search and Investigation Department are looking for unidentified person for impersonating police and stealing KD 1,150 from an Egyptian, reports Al-Anba daily. The Egyptian guard, born in 1959, in his complaint to the Farwaniya police said, the suspect came to the building where he works and accused him of renting apartments for prostitution. He then introduced himself as a State Security police, searched his room and took the rent money which he had collected from the tenants. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have been summoned to lift the fingerprints.

Bangladeshi’s KD 11,000 stolen: A Bangladeshi working at a farm in Wafra has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing an unidentified person of stealing KD 11,000 from his car, reports Al-Anba daily. The complainant said he cashed a cheque for the above amount and put the money under the seat of the car and went to buy groceries. He added, when he returned someone had already broken into his car and stolen the money. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department were summoned to lift the fingerprints.
