Fake Bokhour (Arabic incense) sticks seized

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 13: Ministry of Commerce and Industry teams raided a store that sprinkled incense sticks to change their colors to fool the consumer with the quality of the product, as the ministry indicated in a statement that its inspectors monitored during the inspection tours that they are performing throughout the day one of the stores to manufacture perfumes.

MOCI stated that while inspecting the store, the workers were instructed to show another store for the company so the inspectors went to it and found that it was a store of incense where they were changing the color of the sticks which was an violation.

During investigation they stated that they were cleaning of incense which had white patches which are not desirable to the consumer.

MOCI stated that the violator admitted that they mix materials and painted them on incense in white places until the colors match and is desirable for the consumer which is a fraud in the reality of the good, pointing out that the seized quantities were confiscated and were referred to the official and competent authorities to take the necessary action.
