Fake Bangladeshi doctor, druggist held practicing medicine in flat

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Two Bangladeshis and an unidentified cleaning worker were arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for practicing medicine illegally. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department in the Interior Ministry disclosed that officers raided the flat of the suspects after receiving information on their illegal activity.

During the raid, the officers found medicines from the Health Ministry in the possession of the suspects – one of whom claimed to be a doctor and the other a pharmacist although they are not licensed. According to the suspects, they obtained medicines from the ministry through a cleaning worker assigned in a public hospital. The worker was also arrested and all three suspects were referred to the concerned security department.

Security crackdown: Officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate in a recent campaign arrested several violators of law in different parts of Ahmadi Governorate. A statement issued by the Public Relations and Media Information indicated the campaign led by Ahmadi Security Chief Brigadier Abdullah Safah covered Maboula, Thaher, Mangaf, Fintas, Fahad Al-Ahmad, Hadiya, Riqqa, Zour and Khairan areas, as the officers mounted security checkpoints at entrances and exits to ensure law violators could not escape. Out of 87 individuals arrested, 12 were registered as absconders by their sponsors and with expired residence. Civil cases had been registered against 20 of them, in addition to three people evading jail sentences. They also included a person wanted by law and two people caught driving in a reckless manner, three youths driving buggies on the main road, two people without identity cards and a person with dual citizenship
