KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: Officers from Jahra Criminal Investigation Department arrested a 28-year-old Kuwaiti who hit and killed a child at Naseem area more than a week ago. The suspect is said to have fled the scene when he realized the child had died on the spot. The CID traced the suspect to Jahra and apprehended him. He has since been detained for investigation. He claimed he had no plan to flee until he discovered the child was dead, and he could not sleep well since the incident, and thought of surrendering to the police.

Meanwhile, several experts have pointed fingers at the social networking sites for spreading terrorism and extremism, reports Al- Shahed daily.

The experts commended pre-emptive strikes carried out by the Ministry of Interior against terrorist organizations, especially DAESH and its supporters and sympathizers. They urged each and everyone to bear the responsibility and share ideas to fight extremism and terrorism, stressing security solutions are not enough to counter extremism and terrorism in any society.
