Expats without appointment create stamped at vaccination center

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: Thousands of expats turned out without prior appointment at Kuwait Vaccination Center at the Mishref fairground creating a confusion which caused a stampede with existing visitors who were present in the queue. Expats in large numbers turned out at the vaccination center because of a incorrect information which was circulated stating vaccinations were open without any prior appointment.

The security authorities immediately dealt with overcrowding outside the vaccination center halls. Warning shots and backup patrols immediately restored the situation to normal, no injuries were reported nor anyone was arrested. Visitors are requested to take prior appointments in order to preserve health of self and others.
