Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Yemen ban continues

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Director General for Residency Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Abdullah Al-Hajeri has granted residency affairs departments in all six governorates the prerogative to issue visit visas for one month to the parents of residents provided that those parents are not below sixty years old. Major General Al-Hajeri in a recent meeting granted directors from all six governorates the right to issue one month visit visas to parents who are over sixty years old without any recourse to his office.

However, the decision did not cover the nationals of six countries (Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Yemen) that are currently on visa ban for security reasons. General Department of Residency Affairs, based on directives from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt-Gen Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Undersecretary Lt-Gen Esam Al-Nuham and Assistant Undersecretary for Residency Affairs Major General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, reaffirmed application of the opendoor- policy for citizens and expatriates alike. Therefore, officials have been directed to process the transactions without delay, and listen to their problems and present a solution within the purview of law.
