Expats celebrate Christmas weekend on beaches and parks

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: Hundreds of Asian expats took to Gulf street in the past two days to express their joy on the occasion of Christmas, taking advantage of the winter atmosphere and spending hours in parks and on beaches.

Despite the decision of the concerned authorities to close Christian places of worship to prevent the spread of Corona, a large number of members of these communities were keen to be present in the vicinity of churches to pray in the open air. However it was noticed that they were wearing masks but no social distancing norms were followed to avoid spread of coronavirus.
