‘Excellent work bonus not for everyone’

MPW still in process of assessing performance of employees

KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has said the bonus for excellent work will not be paid to all employees, reports Al- Rai daily quoting the CSC sources.

The sources explained the bonus will be paid only to employees who have remained committed to work for 180 days, pointing out that any employee who has obtained sick or emergency leaves exceeding 69 days will be deprived of the bonus even if he/she earns ‘excellent’ rating. In a related context, a source familiar with the Ministry of Public Works said the ministry is still in the process of assessing the performance of its employees which is expected to continue until mid-June and as a result a delay in payment of bonuses is expected.

The Ministry of Electricity and Water has completed the annual assessment of more than 18,000 employees and the excellent work bonus is likely to be disbursed in the last week of June.
