Ex-MP Nafisi acquitted in ‘sedition’ charges – ‘Royal’ sued for abusing ruling family

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The Cassation Court ruled in favor of former MP and academician Dr Abdullah Al-Nafi si and freed him, reports Al- Qabas daily. The Cassation Court upheld the verdicts of both the lower courts and acquitted Al-Nafi si. Defense lawyer Duwaim Al-Muwaizri said his client did talk about the Shiite sect, but he was talking about the Iranian Safavid intervention, since the Safavid neither belongs to the Sunni nor the Shiite faith, but it was a sect or a political party.
