KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Environment Public Authority (EPA) is expected to receive a site allocated for collecting used tires in Eriha area from Public Authority for Industry on Thursday, Oct 17 in the presence of Director General of EPA Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmed, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Cabinet had previously issued a decision to assign EPA to supervise the sites allocated for the used tires, and coordinate with Public Authority for Industry and other relevant bodies in this regard. The Cabinet’s decision authorized EPA to issue licenses for recycling factories to cut and treat used tires.

According to the Cabinet’s decision, EPA is assigned to determine the catalysts in order to encourage projects for the disposal of used tires based on the conditions defined by EPA.
