KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: Two young ladies, a Kuwaiti and a Bedoun, were arrested and handed over to their families after security operatives attached to Hawalli Command found them sitting by Rumaithiya Public Garden close to the roadside after midnight.
The families of the two girls were made to sign undertakings that the girls will not be allowed outside alone in the dead of night, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the officers were on a round of the area when they sighted the ladies and approached them for questioning to know why they were still outside so late at night. They claimed to be enjoying the weekend night breeze together, because the weather was good.
When the officers requested for their identification, they could not produce any document, so they were taken to the police station for further questioning. Fingerprints analysis revealed that one of them is a Kuwaiti and the other a Bedoun. The families were asked to take them home after signing the undertaking.
Meanwhile, police from the Capital governorate have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti who was wanted by the State Security apparatus, reports Al-Rai daily. Without going into details the daily said the suspect has been handed over to the concerned authority.
