‘30% discount on full payment of unpaid bills at amnesty processing centre’

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait issued an advisory on April 28, 2020 calling on all undocumented Filipinos in Kuwait who have travel bans due to unpaid bills from telecommunication companies to pay their debts at the amnesty processing centre in Farwaniya as the amnesty program for residence violators ends on April 30, 2020.

The advisory advised all Filipinos who have unpaid telecom bills and are qualified to join the amnesty program to go to the Al Muthanna Primary School for Boys at Block 1, Street 122 in Farwaniya between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on or before Thursday, April 30, 2020 as telecom companies namely Ooredoo, stc and Zain have set up their respective booth there to accept payment with a 30 per cent discount for full payment of unpaid bills.

Only cash payments are accepted. Filipinos whose amnesty applications were rejected last April 1-5 but have paid their telecom bills, may also go to the telecom booths in Farwaniya to expedite the process of clearing off their travel bans.

Earlier, Philippine Charge d’ Affaires, Charleson Hermosura urged all undocumented Filipinos in Kuwait to grab this opportunity to avail the amnesty as the ticket is free, no fine shall be paid and they can still come back to Kuwait. More than 2,000 undocumented Filipinos have been repatriated back to the Philippines under the Kuwait amnesty program that started on April 1 aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
