Eid on Wednesday … Diwan conveys Amiri greeting

KUWAIT CITY, July 4, (Agencies): The Justice Ministry’s crescent-sighting committee announced on Monday that the Shawwal crescent could not be observed tonight, thus, tomorrow Tuesday will be the last day of Ramadan and Wednesday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

Meanwhile, the Amiri Diwan conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the people of Kuwait on the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr occasion.

The diwan also congratulated in a statement His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the advent of the occasion which signals the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The diwan wished citizens and residents of the State of Kuwait a happy Eid occasion and also prayed for the safety and security of Arab and Muslim countries worldwide.
