Egyptians wife accuses husband and brother-in-law of assault, stealing cash, abducting son

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: An Egyptian woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband and brother-in law of assaulting her, stealing her jewelry, and KD 800 and kidnapping her son, reports Al-Anba daily. She also said the suspects have taken her son out of the country. She has provided a medical report to prove her injuries. The names of the two suspects have been circulated among the security authorities.

Drug peddler caught: Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdulhamid Al-Awadhi has issued a directive to refer a bedoun to the concerned authorities for trading in narcotics, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, as soon as the Director- General of General Department for Drugs Control Brigadier Waleed Al-Durai’e received information that a bedoun is trafficking in shabu in Salmiya he got a warrant, caught the suspect and referred him to concerned authorities. Police have seized from the man 20 grams of shabu. The contrabands and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Bootlegger nabbed: Personnel from the Abdullah Al-Mubarak Police Station have arrested an unidentified bootlegger. He was caught in possession of five bottles of imported booze, reports Al-Shahed daily. He was reportedly caught redhanded while selling near a Police Station in the area. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Using brother’s passport: Personnel from the Nuwaiseeb Border post have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti, who was wanted by law, and had escaped from the country using the passport of his brother, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources, the Kuwaiti was taken into custody after he arrived at the post from Khafji in Saudi Arabia. During interrogation the suspect admitted to leaving the country using his brother’s passport. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Teens harass woman: A 30-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing two youngsters of harassing and assaulting her in a public parking, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant has provided police the suspects’ car plate number. Meanwhile, an unidentified young Kuwaiti woman, born in 1988, has filed a complaint with the Jabriya Police Station, accusing an unidentified person of stealing her car, reports Al-Anba daily. In her complaint the woman said she left the car engine running and entered a pharmacy and when she returned to the car after a few minutes, she did not find the vehicle.

Maid steals valuables: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Police Station accusing her maid of stealing her jewelry, expensive wristwatch and cash from her home in Salwa, reports Al-Rai daily. Personnel from Criminal Evidences Department have been lifted fingerprints. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti born in 1985 has filed a case with the Salmiya Police Station accusing a person identified only as M.S. of assaulting him and deliberately colliding with his vehicle, reports Al-Anba daily. The complainant told police he was earlier involved in an argument with the suspect. Police have summoned the suspect for interrogation.

Man hurt in crash: An unidentified individual sustained injuries when his vehicle burst into flames after colliding with another on King Fahad Expressway opposite the marine base, says Al-Seyassah. When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen rushed to the location with firefighters and paramedics. Firefighters extinguished the fire while paramedics referred the injured motorist to the nearest hospital for treatment. Securitymen moved the vehicle from the road and launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, a 10-year-old Egyptian child who was hit by an unidentified motorist in Hawalli, has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily. The motorist has been arrested and referred to the police station for interrogation.
